Senior Lecturer - Law

Senior Lecturer – Grade 13

This is a senior academic position within the Department of Law at Embu University College, designated Grade 13. The role requires a highly experienced professional dedicated to high-level teaching, intensive research, thesis supervision, and active participation in institutional service.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty (Law).

In addition, applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria:

• Have at least five (5) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which must have been as a full-time Lecturer.
• Have at least thirty-two (32) publication points, twenty-four (24) of which are derived from articles published in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Lecturer.
• Have successfully supervised to completion at least four (4) Masters students since being appointed Lecturer.
• Show evidence of successfully securing at least one (1) research grant since being appointed Lecturer.
• Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
• Show evidence of active participation/leadership in university activities.
• Show evidence of continued research.
