Senior Lecturer - Cyber Security

Role Overview: Senior Lecturer – Grade 13

The University of Embu is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the position of Senior Lecturer specializing in Cyber Security. This senior academic role (Grade 13) is critical for teaching, research, and supervision within the relevant specialty, requiring proven excellence in academic contribution and institutional leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty. In addition, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Have at least five (5) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which must be as a full-time Lecturer.
• Have at least thirty-two (32) publication points, twenty-four (24) of which are from articles published in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Lecturer.
• Have successfully supervised to completion at least four (4) Masters students since being appointed Lecturer.
• Show evidence of successfully securing at least one (1) research grant since being appointed Lecturer.
• Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
• Show evidence of active participation/leadership in university activities.
• Show evidence of continued research.
