Senior Human Resource Business Partner (SHRBP)
Job Summary
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP) is responsible for coordinating strategic and operational HR activities, focusing particularly on employee capacity building and development. This role requires aligning HR functions with organizational goals (specifically noting alignment with hospital goals in the job description), departmental requirements, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to implement comprehensive HR strategies covering talent acquisition, learning & development, compensation, succession planning, and employee relations.
- Oversee core HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development initiatives.
- Manage the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure data integrity, accurate job grading, and optimization of departmental structure.
- Handle complex employee relations matters by resolving conflicts and administering disciplinary and grievance procedures in strict adherence to organizational policy and relevant labour laws.
- Identify institutional training needs and effectively manage capacity-building initiatives within the allocated budget and cluster policies.
- Lead and monitor key HR projects, overseeing all phases from prioritization to implementation and comprehensive evaluation.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, labour laws, and compliance requirements.
- Support internal and external quality assurance and accreditation efforts (e.g., JCIA, SQE).
- Foster and maintain a high-performance culture by collaborating closely with managers to enhance staff engagement and overall performance.
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll processes in partnership with the Finance department.
- Analyse HR metrics and data to support evidence-based decisions related to compensation, attrition, and career mobility.
Requirements
Education
- Degree in Human Resources Management (BA/BSc/HND equivalent).
Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of this experience must be specifically within the healthcare industry.
