This is a key leadership role for a Senior Business Development Manager specializing in Secured Lending, specifically targeting portfolio growth in the Nakuru region. The manager will be responsible for defining and executing sales strategies, acquiring high-value clients, managing existing relationships, and potentially overseeing regional sales personnel to achieve significant growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the company’s secured lending portfolio in your region.
- Identify, engage, and acquire new high-value clients and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and portfolio growth.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Market Analysis & Regional Insights:
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitor activity.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management to optimize product offerings and regional strategies.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Mentor, guide, and oversee regional sales teams (where applicable).
- Monitor team performance against targets and provide coaching for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance guidelines, and ethical sales practices.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management:
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market developments, and client feedback.
- Collaborate with central management to align regional strategies with company goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in business development or sales management within secured lending, credit, or financial services.
- Track Record: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in the secured lending or relevant financial services industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Location: Must be based in and familiar with the assigned location (Nakuru).
