Job Description
This role is critical for ensuring the safe transportation of learners to and from school, educational trips, and other authorized activities. The School Driver must consistently uphold the highest standards of safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Operate school buses or other designated vehicles in a safe and lawful manner in accordance with all traffic regulations and school transport policies.
Ensure the safety of all learners at all times, particularly when boarding and alighting from the vehicle.
Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities.
Monitor learner behavior during transit to ensure adherence to safety protocols and the maintenance of a respectful and orderly environment.
Strictly follow established pick-up and drop-off schedules.
Job Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Valid driving license class B, C, C1, D1, D2 (van/ Nissan & min Buses category) and a renewable Institution Driver licence.
Minimum education level needed: Certificate in any related field.
Possession of a Certificate of Good Conduct.
Basic mechanical knowledge is considered an added advantage.
