The role of the Salesman/Saleslady at New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited (NKCC) is critical to ensuring continuous product availability in the market and driving sales growth.

Job Purpose

To ensure products are available in the market at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving stocks at the distribution center.
• Verifying stocks as well as loading products on and off the distribution vehicles.
• Distributing products to outlets and invoicing the customer.
• Collection of crates from the outlets.
• Processing of the sales order for the next day.
• Reconciliation of records for the day.
• Prepare route sales reports.
• Prospecting for new clients/customers and closing a sale.
• Liaising with the Sales Representatives.
• Distributing products to outlets and invoicing the customer as per the Local Purchase Order (LPO).
• Daily processing of sales order for distributors, key accounts and institutions.
• Full reconciliation of sales work on a daily basis.
• Onboarding of new customers through automation.
• Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Personal Specifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications, experience, and personal attributes:

• Education: Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience: 3 years’ work experience in sales and marketing.
• Driving: Over 5 years accident-free driving experience and a Valid Driving License (BCE class).
• Technical Skills: Computer literacy skills.
• Personal Attributes:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • High standards of personal integrity.
  • Customer service skills.
