The East African University (TEAU) is a fully chartered private university in Kenya, dedicated to offering high-quality, accessible, and transformative education. Located in the serene town of Kitengela, Kajiado County, TEAU is recognized and accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE). We are looking for a passionate and dedicated part-time Rugby Coach to join our vibrant sports community and mentor young talent.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs and coaching strategies for the university rugby team.
Conduct regular practice sessions, teaching student-athletes rugby techniques, game strategies, and rules.
Mentor players to foster personal growth, discipline, and a healthy academic-athletic balance.
Organize and oversee the team's participation in competitive matches and tournaments.
Promote a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence among the athletes.
Monitor the physical conditioning and safety of all team members during training and games.
Requirements
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or an equivalent qualification.
Demonstrable passion for rugby and mentoring young individuals.
Previous experience in rugby coaching or relevant certifications is highly desirable.
Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills to effectively manage student-athletes.
