Job Description
This is a remote role for a creative and dependable specialist to support a church ministry by creating engaging digital media content. The role primarily supports back-end media and digital ministry needs, focusing on video editing, graphic design, and social media management to tell the story of God's work within the church community.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing
Edit video footage from church services, baptisms, ministry gatherings, and special events.
Create polished recap videos, testimony videos, and baptism highlights.
Edit sermon clips and short-form video content for social media platforms.
Prepare media content for Facebook, Instagram, the church app, and website.
Manage and organize video files via shared systems like Dropbox.
Social Media Support
Maintain consistent activity on the church’s social media platforms.
Create and schedule posts for Facebook and Instagram.
Repurpose sermon clips and graphics for digital outreach.
Support specific ministries (e.g., young adults) with social media needs.
Graphic Design
Create graphics for announcements, sermon series, and church events.
Design digital assets aligning with the church’s brand using Adobe Illustrator and other Creative Suite tools.
Collaborate with team members on design files and project updates.
Website & Platform Support
Update content on the church app and website using Subsplash and SnapPages.
Prepare media for livestream archives and sermon pages.
Assist in organizing livestream content across digital platforms like YouTube and Facebook.
File Management & Communication
Maintain organized folders and clear naming conventions for all project files.
Communicate effectively with staff regarding deadlines and project statuses.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Media Production, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
2–3+ years of experience in video editing.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and familiarity with Photoshop.
Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, and short-form social media content.
Ability to use AI tools to support content creation efficiency (captions, transcripts, etc.).
Strong written English communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
Alignment with the Christian mission and values of the ministry.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with a church, ministry, or faith-based nonprofit.
Experience creating specific religious content (sermon clips, baptism videos).
Familiarity with Subsplash, SnapPages, or church-specific content management systems.
Equipment Requirements
Personal laptop/desktop, phone, and high-quality headset.
Reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work.
