The Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) is a State Corporation operating under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives, established by the Warehouse Receipt System Act No. 8 of 2019. The Warehouse Receipt System (WRS) is a process where owners of commodities (Farmers or Aggregators) deposit their goods in a certified warehouse and are issued a receipt. This Registration Officer I role involves critical registry functions central to this system.
This position is responsible for managing and verifying warehouse receipt transactions to ensure regulatory compliance, data accuracy, and the effective functioning of the Central Registry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Overview of Functions:
Validating data entry related to warehouse receipt transactions.
Approving the cataloguing of warehouse receipt transactions for conformity with set standards.
Maintaining comprehensive records of warehouse receipt transactions.
Recommending procedures for the replacement of warehouse receipts.
Verifying central registry records to ensure data integrity.
Implementing guidelines, procedures, standards, and work plans of the Central Registry.
Ensuring the completeness and conformity of all warehouse receipts to established standards.
Managing the documentation and archiving processes for warehouse receipts.
Person Specifications (Mandatory Requirements)
Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Experience: Must have served in the grade of Registration Officer II for a minimum period of three (3) years.
Education: Must hold a Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines, or an equivalent qualification:
Information Science
Management Information Science
Library Science
Records Management
Business Information Technology
Information Management
Archives and Records Management
Skills: Must be proficient in computer applications.
Performance: Must have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
