Job Description
This role is for a dynamic and experienced Recruitment Team Lead responsible for overseeing the talent acquisition team in Kenya. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in guiding recruiters, ensuring hiring targets are consistently met, and implementing best practices throughout the recruitment processes. This position demands strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build effective strategies for attracting and retaining top talent.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of recruiters, providing necessary coaching and performance feedback.
Oversee the full recruitment cycle, encompassing activities from sourcing and screening candidates all the way to onboarding.
Develop and implement robust recruitment strategies that are aligned with overall organizational goals.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure that hiring targets are achieved within stipulated timelines.
Collaborate effectively with department heads to understand their specific staffing needs and contribute to workforce planning.
Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and relevant labor regulations.
Prepare comprehensive recruitment reports and present key insights to senior management.
Drive strategic initiatives designed to improve candidate experience and enhance employer branding.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in recruitment.
At least 2 years of experience specifically in a leadership role (e.g., Team Lead or Supervisor).
Strong knowledge of recruitment tools, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and various sourcing strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing recruitment teams.
Fluency in English is required; Swahili is considered an added advantage.
