The role of Recruitment Consultant, Nonprofit & Development Sector involves leading the complete recruitment process for NGOs, INGOs, foundations, and donor-funded programs. This role requires combining strategic advisory skills with practical, hands-on recruitment management, ensuring every placement effectively enhances organizational performance and social impact within the sector.
Job Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from role scoping to placement.
- Draft job descriptions reflecting both technical needs and organizational mission.
- Build talent pipelines across programmatic, operational, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), safeguarding, technical, leadership, and emergency response roles.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, donor requirements, and ethical recruitment standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage talent networks, including sector specialists and experienced humanitarian professionals.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates through clear, professional communication.
- Represent Rose Avenue Consulting Group (RACG) in sector forums, roundtables, and recruitment events.
Operational Excellence
- Deliver a seamless, respectful, and transparent candidate experience.
- Maintain structured documentation, ATS updates, and recruitment records.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of RACG’s recruitment systems and tools.
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (HR), Social Sciences, Business, or a related field; HR certification is considered a significant advantage.
- Proven experience in NGO/INGO recruitment, HR consulting, or talent acquisition specifically within the development sector.
- Demonstrated strong advisory skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and exceptional communication skills.
- Possession of high emotional intelligence, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Proven ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple recruitment projects concurrently.
- A firm commitment to ethical hiring practices, safeguarding principles, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
