This part-time position (2 days/week) as a Psychological Counsellor at Urafiki Carovana School is crucial for supporting the psychological well-being of learners and staff. Urafiki Carovana School is a community that emphasizes purpose, growth, and God’s calling, and thus requires the Counsellor to be a committed Catholic.
Job Responsibilities
The Psychological Counsellor will be responsible for the following key duties:
Conduct individual and group counselling sessions with learners ranging from 5 to 15 years old.
Create psychological awareness among staff and learners.
Spearhead the capacity building for staff (especially teachers) concerning psychological support and related skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education: Bachelor Degree in Psychology. A Master’s degree is considered an added advantage.
Experience: Proven professional experience of more than 10 years in the field.
Specialized Skill: Experience with child play therapy is required.
Age: Must be 40 years of age and above.
Commitment: Must be a committed Catholic.
