The Provider Relations Officer - Health is responsible for managing Old Mutual Kenya's network of healthcare providers. This role focuses on strategic purchasing, patient experience monitoring, and relationship management to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care for clients.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Strategic Purchasing: Engage continuously with providers to ensure they deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.
Patient Experience Monitoring: Regularly monitor patient feedback from providers to guarantee excellent customer experience.
Provider Network Management: Maintain an updated provider panel, assess network adequacy in key regions, and perform audits.
Provider Relationship Management: Conduct service meetings, facilitate training on Old Mutual processes, gather feedback, and share reports.
Provider Contracting: Coordinate contracting of medical providers and oversee the provider contract lifecycle.
Customer Service Support: Attend client meetings to support the delivery of high-quality services.
Other Duties: Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Robust network with Service Providers (SP) and other medical insurers.
Strong analytical and monitoring capabilities.
Proven decision-making ability.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a busy hospital setting.
Prior experience in health insurance is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of private and public healthcare providers in Kenya.
Relevant insurance certification is an added advantage.
