Project Officer

This role involves implementing project activities at the field level according to the project plan, ensuring strict alignment with VSO’s volunteering for development (VfD) approach and global implementation standards. The Project Officer is instrumental in contributing to the successful delivery of the project and helping achieve VSO’s vision of a fair world for everyone.

Ideal Applicant Summary

Focus Area: The role requires specialized expertise in livelihoods, youth empowerment, enterprise acceleration, and circular economy initiatives, particularly within informal settlements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: A BA/BSc/HND qualification or equivalent is required. Qualifications in Livelihoods, Social Development, or Project Management (PMD Pro, PRINCE II, PMP) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Essential experience in project administration and field implementation with strong sectoral expertise in livelihoods.
• Specialized Experience: Proven experience in youth empowerment, enterprise acceleration, and incubation, particularly focusing on informal settlements and the circular economy.
• Preferred Background: A background in social sciences, environmental studies, or entrepreneurship is preferred.
