About the Role
BURN is seeking an IT Project Management Intern to support the IT Operations team. In this role, you will assist in the planning, tracking, and execution of projects by coordinating timelines, managing documentation, and facilitating stakeholder communication. You will also focus on improving internal processes, maintaining project dashboards, and ensuring the efficient delivery of IT initiatives across various teams.
Engagement Type: 3-Month Contract / Internship
Collaboration: You will work closely with the IT Operations Team, Project Managers, Service Desk, and Human Resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, scheduling, and tracking of IT Operations projects and their deliverables.
Support the creation and maintenance of essential project documentation, timelines, and status reports.
Coordinate cross-functional meetings, capture action items, and follow up on progress with relevant stakeholders.
Assist with resource scheduling and task allocation across various IT Operations workstreams.
Contribute to identifying risks, tracking issues, and managing escalation processes for active projects.
Support vendor coordination and track procurement for IT equipment and services.
Help maintain IT operational dashboards and utilize project tracking tools.
Participate in process improvement initiatives within the IT Operations team.
Assist with developing onboarding documentation and IT operational procedures for new team members.
Skills and Experience
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Eagerness to learn and contribute within a fast-paced IT environment.
