Professor - Cyber Security

The role of Professor - Cyber Security (Grade 15) is a prestigious senior academic position focusing on teaching, high-level research, and academic leadership within the field of Cyber Security at the University of Embu.

Qualifications and Experience (Professor – Grade 15)

Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty (e.g., Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field). In addition to the PhD requirement, applicants must satisfy the following comprehensive criteria:

• Teaching Experience: Have at least twelve (12) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which must have been served as a full-time Associate Professor.
• Scholarly Publications: Must demonstrate significant scholarly output, having accumulated at least sixty (60) publication points, forty (40) of which must be derived from articles published in refereed scholarly journals since the appointment as Associate Professor.
• Postgraduate Supervision: Have successfully supervised to completion at least six (6) Masters students and two (2) PhD students since being appointed Associate Professor.
• Research Grants: Provide evidence of successfully securing and managing at least two (2) competitive research grants since being appointed Associate Professor.
• Academic Engagement: Show evidence of attendance and substantive contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
• University Leadership: Show evidence of active participation and leadership in university activities, committees, or administration.
• Continued Research: Show evidence of continued and sustained research engagement in the field.
