Professor - Computer Science

This role is for a Professor (Grade 15) in Computer Science at the University of Embu. The successful candidate will be a senior academic leader responsible for advanced teaching, mentorship, significant scholarly research, and active participation in university governance.

Qualifications and Experience (PROFESSOR – GRADE 15)

Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty (Computer Science). In addition, applicants must meet the following specific criteria:

• Have at least twelve (12) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which must have been served as a full-time Associate Professor.
• Possess at least sixty (60) publication points, forty (40) of which are derived from articles published in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Associate Professor.
• Have successfully supervised to completion at least six (6) Masters and two (2) PhD students since being appointed Associate Professor.
• Show evidence of successfully securing at least two (2) research grants since being appointed Associate Professor.
• Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
• Show evidence of active participation/leadership in university activities.
• Show evidence of continued research.
