Professor - Community Health

Role Overview

The Embu University College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the position of Professor – Community Health, designated as Grade 15. The role involves leading academic instruction, significant research activity, advanced supervision of postgraduate students, and active participation in university leadership.

Qualifications and Experience (PROFESSOR – GRADE 15)

Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty. In addition, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Have at least twelve (12) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which must have been as a full-time Associate Professor.
• Possess at least sixty (60) publication points, with forty (40) derived from articles published in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Associate Professor.
• Have successfully supervised to completion at least six (6) Masters and two (2) PhD students since being appointed Associate Professor.
• Show evidence of successfully securing at least two (2) research grants since being appointed Associate Professor.
• Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
• Show evidence of active participation/leadership in university activities.
• Show evidence of continued research engagement.
