The Production Assistant role is crucial in assisting to oversee the production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day production operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, on time, and meet brand quality standards.
- Support inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, coordinating restocking, and maintaining accurate production and inventory records.
- Perform basic quality control checks to ensure products adhere to brand standards.
- Collaborate with the team to organize workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and assist with production planning for upcoming runs.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to coordinate deliveries and manage materials efficiently.
- Support administrative and operational tasks related to production while maintaining discretion with sensitive business information and assisting with reporting on production performance.
- Maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customers’ specifications.
- Recommend cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Come up with waste reduction methods and implement during production management.
- Updating job cards for Supervisors and operators, establishing monthly reviews, and adhering to review standards.
- Daily reporting to the operations manager.
- Monthly System/Stock Count with Variance report to be submitted on email by the 3rd of every month.
- Monthly Variance explanation report to be submitted on email by the 8th of every month. System lock out on the 3rd of every month for the previous month.
- Update of Daily Production Report (OEE, Cost, Kg….) by Production Clerk.
- Incident Report (Breakdown/Injury/Machine not Running/Under performance Break through discussion).
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Printing Engineering, Operations, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the printing industry.
