Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for recruitment, a candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Be a Kenyan citizen.
• Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Must be a holder of a minimum of a P1 certificate (required for Primary school positions).
  • Note: While the general requirement includes a minimum of a Diploma in Education for Junior Schools and Secondary Schools, applicants for these specific Primary School positions must meet the P1 qualification minimum.

General Recruitment Information

Applicants should take note of the following conditions:

• The recruitment process will adhere to the Teachers Service Commission Recruitment Guidelines for the 2025/2026 Financial Year.
• Merit lists generated during this recruitment exercise for both Primary and Secondary Schools will be utilized in subsequent recruitment processes within the financial year.
• Shortlisted candidates are required to present their original academic and professional certificates during the selection process.
• Candidates must not submit more than one Application for Employment Form; filling of two or more Application for Employment Forms will lead to disqualification.
• Manual applications will not be considered—all submissions must be online.
• Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously been employed by the Teachers Service Commission.
• Successful candidates will be liable to be posted to serve in any part of the country, not necessarily the county or school where they were interviewed.
