This large-scale recruitment exercise by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) aims to fill 319 vacant positions for Primary Schools Teachers specifically for deployment in Kakamega County. The successful applicants will be responsible for fulfilling the professional mandate of a primary school teacher in line with TSC's vision to be a transformative teaching service for quality education.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for recruitment, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
Be a Kenyan citizen.
Must be a holder of minimum of a P1 certificate in the case of Primary schools.
(Note: Applicants for Junior Schools and Secondary schools must hold a minimum of a Diploma in Education.)
Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

The Teachers Service Commission Recruitment Guidelines 2025/2026 Financial Year shall apply.
Merit lists generated during this recruitment for both Primary and Secondary Schools will be used in subsequent recruitment processes within the financial year.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates.
Successful candidates must not fill more than one Application for Employment Form. Filling of two or more forms will lead to disqualification.
Manual applications will not be considered.
Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously been employed by the Teachers Service Commission.
Successful candidates will be posted to serve in any part of the country and not necessarily in the county or school where they were interviewed.
