The Plant Controller at Safal Group is responsible for supervising plant finance activities, managing product costing, and driving cost-efficiency across manufacturing operations.
Key Performance Areas
- Supervise and guide Assistant Plant Controllers to ensure efficient monthly cost reporting.
- Maintain accurate product costing in SAP FICO (BOMs, routings, standard costing, and inventory valuation).
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing, including inventory counts, WIP valuation, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and control manufacturing costs (raw materials, labor, energy, overheads, and production efficiency).
- Track plant operating expenses against budget and provide variance analysis with corrective actions.
- Oversee inventory control and stock movements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor CAPEX projects, tracking costs and budget utilization.
- Partner with production, procurement, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reporting accuracy and operational performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Coach and develop the plant finance team members.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
- CPA (K) or equivalent qualification; ICPAK membership is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience, including 5 years in plant controlling or cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with SAP FICO, COPA, and Monthly SAP System Cost run (mandatory).
