The hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmaceutical Technologist to join its team.
Role Overview
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care, ensuring accurate dispensing of medications, and maintaining ethical standards in patient service. The ideal candidate must be empathetic, patient-centered, and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision in a busy hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately dispensing medicines and medical supplies to patients.
Providing clear instructions to patients on how to use their medications, including dosage and potential side effects.
Maintaining proper records of drugs and supplies in the pharmacy.
Ensuring the pharmacy is stocked and managed efficiently.
Adhering to the legal and ethical requirements of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or busy health facility.
Licensing: Must be registered and hold a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
Personal Attributes: Ethical, empathetic, and patient-centered.
Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
Supervision: Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision.
