Job Description
PCEA Chogoria Hospital, established in 1922 by Scottish missionaries, is located in the serene environment of Chogoria township within Tharaka-Nithi County. We are seeking a dedicated Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our medical team.
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for providing professional pharmaceutical services, ensuring the accurate interpretation of prescriptions, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
Accurately interpret medical prescriptions and dispense medications to patients.
Provide comprehensive counseling to patients regarding drug usage, dosage, storage, and potential side effects.
Ensure a high degree of precision and attention to detail in all pharmaceutical tasks to prevent errors.
Assist in the management of pharmacy inventory and records.
Maintain effective communication with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Adhere strictly to the professional standards and regulations set by the Pharmaceutical and Poisons Board.
Requirements
Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
Current and up-to-date registration with the Pharmaceutical and Poisons Board (PPB).
Keen attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to interpret prescriptions accurately.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
