Pharmaceutical Marketer

Key Responsibilities

Product Promotion and Detailing

• Visit doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare facilities regularly.
• Present and explain product features, benefits, and indications.
• Provide scientific information to support product use.
• Distribute samples and promotional materials appropriately.
• Address questions and objections professionally.

Achieving Sales Targets

• Meet or exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Develop territory action plans to increase product uptake.
• Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies where necessary.
• Ensure consistent growth in product market share.
• Follow up on pending orders to secure sales closure.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers.

Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis

• Monitor competitor products, pricing, and promotional strategies.
• Gather feedback from healthcare professionals on product performance.
• Identify market gaps and emerging opportunities.
• Report market trends and competitor activities to management.
• Recommend strategies to improve product positioning.

Compliance and Ethical Marketing

• Ensure all promotional activities comply with regulatory guidelines.
• Adhere to policies set by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
• Promote products based on approved indications only.
• Maintain transparency and integrity in all marketing activities.
• Keep accurate records of samples and promotional materials distributed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Marketing, or related field.
• Registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (added advantage).
• 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Valid driving license (where required).
