Baraka Agriculture College is seeking an Outreach Manager to efficiently manage its outreach programs and community projects. The Outreach Manager will lead capacity building initiatives for farmers in Sustainable Agriculture enterprises, develop funding proposals, design community projects, and oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The successful candidate will collaborate with like-minded partners, agencies, and donor communities to empower marginalized individuals and communities toward achieving decent livelihoods.
Key Responsibilities
Efficiently manage Baraka Agriculture College outreach programs and projects.
Conduct capacity building for farmers in Sustainable Agriculture enterprises.
Develop funding proposals for community initiatives.
Initiate, design, evaluate, and monitor operational programs and projects.
Prepare comprehensive project and program reports.
Collaborate with like-minded partners, donor agencies, and individuals in the operational area.
Key Requirements and Experience
Degree in Agriculture with Rural Development / Community Development / Extension or related field from a recognized university with at least 3 years' experience in the same field; OR a Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture / Community Extension with more than 5 years' experience in a similar job environment.
Experience in participatory management and programme approaches.
Proven experience in proposal development and programme/project management.
Experience working in a structured organization.
Knowledge of financial management.
Strong analytical, writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
Effective teaching and facilitation abilities.
Excellent leadership skills; a team builder and player.
Passionate and committed to empowering marginalized individuals and communities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literate and conversant with operating software applications.
Experience working with the donor community is an added advantage.
Motorbike riding skills are an added advantage.
