Job Description
The role of Office Assistant I is based at the Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC), a State Corporation established under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives by the Warehouse Receipt System Act No. 8 of 2019. The WRSC oversees the Warehouse Receipt System (WRS), a process where owners of commodities (Farmers or Aggregators) deposit their commodities in a certified warehouse and are issued receipts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
Collecting and delivering office items, documents, mail, parcels, and postage.
Carrying out photocopying and document binding services.
Maintaining general cleanliness in the assigned area of deployment.
Collecting and disposing of litter.
Moving and arranging office equipment and furniture as needed.
Preparing Tea/refreshments.
Locking and opening office premises according to schedule.
Person Specifications and Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Served in the grade of Office Assistant II for a minimum period of three (3) years.
Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D- or equivalent qualification.
Be proficient in computer applications.
Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
