Information about the role
The Office Administrative Assistant III is responsible for performing various clerical and administrative tasks within the Nakuru County Government. The successful candidate will support efficient office operations through document management, communication handling, and general administrative support.
Responsibilities and Duties
Taking oral dictation and performing word and data processing from manuscripts.
Operating office equipment and ensuring the security of office equipment, documents, and records.
Attending to visitors and clients, providing professional customer service.
Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls and managing appointment schedules.
Undertaking any other office administrative service duties that may be assigned by supervisors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (minus) with at least C (plain) in English and Kiswahili language or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) in the following subjects:
Typewriting II (minimum 40 w.p.m)/computerized Document Processing II
Business English I/ Communications I
Office practice I
Commerce I
Craft Certificate in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
Certificate in computer applications skills from a recognized institution.
