Divine Caterers Ltd, a food catering company specializing in catering for various events such as weddings, parties, conferences, and corporate functions, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (OSHE) Officer.
The core purpose of this role is to promote and ensure a safe and healthy working environment across all company operations. The OSHE Officer will achieve this by implementing, monitoring, and maintaining stringent health and safety standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and company requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The OSHE Officer will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive workplace safety policies and programs.
- Conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to systematically identify and mitigate hazards across all operational sites.
- Training staff on occupational safety, health practices, and emergency procedures to foster a strong safety culture.
- Ensuring full compliance with all applicable Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) laws and regulations.
- Investigating all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and preparing detailed reports complete with effective corrective actions.
- Overseeing equipment safety maintenance, ensuring high housekeeping standards, and managing safe environmental practices.
- Record keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all inspections, activities, incidents, and compliance documentation.
- Actively promoting a robust safety culture among all members of staff.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Education: A Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hospitality management, with substantial exposure to events management.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the capability to effectively manage multiple teams across different locations.
- Technical Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and service standards is essential.
- Skills: Good organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Work Ethic: Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and successfully manage multiple events simultaneously.
