Job Description
Amentum is seeking a professional Nurse to provide comprehensive medical services at the BOSC Clinic. The role involves the evaluation, care, and treatment of patients to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery within the clinic setting. The successful candidate will collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to implement care plans, manage medical documentation, and support workforce health initiatives in potentially austere environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing services, including patient evaluation, care, and treatment at the BOSC Clinic.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions following medical protocols and physician guidance.
Conduct health assessments, measure vital signs, and collect patient history to assist in developing care plans.
Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to support diagnoses and implement clinical care plans.
Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of chronic and acute conditions.
Assist in medical procedures and examinations, ensuring patient safety and proper documentation.
Monitor patient progress, evaluate the effectiveness of care, and adjust plans as necessary.
Provide emergency care, including immediate first aid and basic life-saving procedures (BLS/ACLS).
Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with healthcare standard practices and regulations.
Support public health initiatives to ensure the health and safety of the workforce and community.
Operational Expectations
Safety: Maintain a safety culture, complete all training requirements, and participate in emergency response tasks.
Quality: Ensure services meet customer expectations and conform to Amentum Quality Policies.
Procedure Compliance: Implement all operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements as per specific plans and policies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in accordance with U.S. licensing standards.
1-3 years of relevant nursing experience (acute care, emergency response, or clinic operations).
Knowledge of professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Must possess a valid passport (valid for at least 1 year) and be able to travel internationally.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain deployment eligibility.
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary facility credentials/authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce.
Valid country driver’s license.
Experience as a Registered Nurse in a military medical or clinic setting.
Familiarity with military medical documentation systems and protocols.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage high-stress medical emergencies.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
