We are seeking a MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Coordinator to provide coordination and administrative service for the hotel sales team to assist with revenue generation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide coordination and administrative service for the hotel sales team to assist with revenue generation.
- Assist the Director of Sales in administrative work.
- Maintain and manage the client database.
- Maintain stock of printed materials, supply of corporate gifts, and promotional items.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the hotel sales and marketing plan to ensure all revenue goals are met and exceeded.
- Handle incoming inquiries from guests regarding rates and products, and coordinate these with the sales team.
- Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
- Coordinate all familiarization trips and site inspections as required.
- Maintain manual and electronic filing systems.
- Perform telemarketing to designated clients and receive clients visiting the hotel for business inquiries.
- Take over and sell rooms and meeting facilities in the absence of the sales team.
- Provide added value to the team by providing strong support to both sales and marketing departments.
- Perform all tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
- Maintain professional business confidentiality and work in line with business requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma, or equivalent (BA/BSc/HND).
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook. Ability to use technology available for reports, communication, and client correspondence.
- Attitude: Must always display a pleasant manner, positive attitude, and promote a good company image. Demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance.
- Ethics: Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and attitude towards all guests, clients, and staff.
- Flexibility: Flexible to adapt to sudden increases in working hours as per business needs.
