Job Description
The County Government of Kitui is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Medical Social Worker III (2 Posts).
Terms of Service and Salary
The position is offered on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The salary scale is set at Ksh. 26,900 x 1,110 – 28,010 x 1,120 – 29,130 x 1,150 – 30,280 x 1,170 – 31,450 x 1,250 – 32,700 x 1,300 – 34,000 x 1,380 – 35,380 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
Addressing the psychosocial effects as related to patient’s diagnosis, prognosis, and future resettlement.
Counseling of patients, especially in cases associated with pandemic diseases, mental illness, HIV/AIDS, epilepsy, etc.
Requirements for Appointment
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Possess a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C or its equivalent qualification.
Hold a Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Mental Health or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
