Marketing Assistant Role Overview
GetNinja Inc. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support our marketing team in executing campaigns, managing digital content, and coordinating promotional activities. This is a remote position, preferably based in Nairobi, Kenya.
The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and eager to contribute to projects that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement.
Working Schedule: 9AM – 6PM Eastern Standard Timezone (EST), with a 1-hour break.
Note: The salary offered is competitive and will be based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and the prevailing market standards in the country of employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns across digital platforms.
- Create and schedule social media posts, newsletters, and blog content.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support marketing strategies.
- Maintain marketing databases, CRM tools, and track campaign performance.
- Support event coordination, promotions, and community engagement initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations to summarize campaign performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with branding and business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred, but the company also considers candidates with Diploma, KCSE, MBA/MSc/MA, NCE, PhD/Fellowship, or Vocational qualifications.
- Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in a marketing support, coordinator, or assistant role.
- Essential Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, MS Office/Google Workspace, and basic design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and email marketing tools is an advantage.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
Preferred (but not required) Skills:
- Experience in paid ads management (Google Ads/Facebook Ads).
- Knowledge of SEO and content optimization.
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills.
Technical Requirements for Remote Work
To ensure effective remote collaboration, candidates must meet the following technical specifications:
- USB Headset with Noise Cancellation feature.
- Working Webcam.
- Computer with at least 1.8 GHz processor and 4GB RAM (minimum).
- Main Internet Service Speed: at least 25 Mbps (cable connection preferred).
- Backup Internet Service Speed: at least 10 Mbps.
Note: To maintain a productive and transparent environment, we use a time tracking tool with screenshot monitoring during work hours. This helps ensure accountability and supports our commitment to high-quality, remote collaboration.
