This role is responsible for coordinating and executing OATL’s market access activities at the regional level, as directed by senior management. Key responsibilities include overseeing crop aggregation, ensuring quality control, and implementing operations based on market data and strategies provided by senior management. The candidate will work closely with farmers—particularly youth and women—to facilitate market access for crops, provide training, and support crop sales, ensuring alignment with the organization’s market access strategy.
Responsibilities
You will:
Ensure Market Alignment: Conducting feasibility and market demand studies (with senior management) to identify and pursue the most profitable markets for multiple crops.
Execute Strategy: Coordinating and implementing all regional market access activities based on strategic direction.
Empower Farmers: Delivering training on best practices and financial literacy, specifically targeting our farmer groups, youth, and women, to improve crop quality and market readiness.
Optimising Logistics: Overseeing aggregation, quality control, storage solutions, and delivery to minimise losses and maximise efficiency.
Support Sales: Assisting in crop sales and organizational procurement following OATL’s strategy.
Supervise temporary data collectors in a specific region, ensuring accurate data collection and providing guidance.

Qualifications
For this role specifically, you will have:
At least one year of direct experience in agricultural market access or value chain efficiency.
A track record of essential experience in smallholder farmer engagement and implementing effective farmer support programs.
Proven capacity to organize farmer organisations, such as cooperatives and farmer groups, to strengthen market linkages.
Knowledge of agricultural input logistics, market pricing structures, and product aggregation techniques.
Strong ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across finance, logistics, and extension sectors.
Contract Details
The contract duration is 1 year, and this role is only open to citizens or permanent residents of Tanzania.
