About the Role
The Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Managing Director for the Makueni Rural Water Board (MARUWAB). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, management, and direction to ensure the board effectively fulfills its mandate.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Engineering (Civil or Water) or Finance or Economics, or Business Management, Environmental science or other Social Sciences;
- A Master's degree or higher qualification will be an added advantage;
- Experience in management of public/private entities for a period of not less than five(5) years;
- Attended and successfully completed a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Meet the requirements of leadership and integrity in chapter six of the constitution of Kenya, 2010;
- Be registered with the relevant professional body and be a member in good standing (where applicable);
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with highly demonstrable competencies in strategy formulation and implementation, building shared vision and managing people in a multi-cultural environment.
Required Clearances (for shortlisted candidates)
Shortlisted candidates for the position of Managing Director- Makueni Rural Water Board (MARUWAB) will be required to obtain clearance from the following institutions and the clearance certificates must be produced during the interview:
- Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) / Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
- Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
- Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
- Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
