Job Description
This Locum Laboratory Technologist role reports to the Health Centre Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for performing laboratory-based scientific medical investigations in order to provide accurate laboratory diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
Registration, collection, and processing of client samples within the limits of specific tests.
Communication of laboratory results.
Maintain high standards of quality laboratory practice by use of proper reagents, well calibrated machines, and a clean working environment.
Preparation of laboratory reports.
Participation in internal QC (Quality Control) programmes and log in the appropriate registers.
Position Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
A diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
Must have a registration certificate from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board.
At least two (2) years of appropriate experiences in medical laboratory functions.
Skills and Attributes:
ICT competency.
Excellent customer service.
Self-motivated and a team player.
Pleasant personality.
