This is a Locum Laboratory Technologist position based in Kisumu. The role is crucial for providing accurate laboratory diagnoses through scientific medical investigations. The incumbent will report directly to the Health Centre Manager.
Overall Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Health Centre Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for performing laboratory-based scientific medical investigations in order to provide laboratory diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
Registration, collection, and processing of client samples within the limits of specific tests.
Communication of laboratory results.
Maintain high standards of quality laboratory practice by use of proper reagents, well-calibrated machines, and a clean working environment.
Preparation of laboratory reports.
Participation in internal QC programmes and logging in the appropriate registers.
Position Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
Must have a registration certificate from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board.
At least two (2) years of appropriate experiences in medical laboratory functions.
