Locum Laboratory Technologists

The Locum Laboratory Technologist role, located in Eastlands, Nairobi, is a contractual position responsible for executing laboratory-based scientific medical investigations to facilitate accurate laboratory diagnoses, reporting directly to the Health Centre Manager.

Overall Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Health Centre Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for performing laboratory-based scientific medical investigations in order to provide laboratory diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Registration, collection and processing of client samples within the limits of specific tests.
• Communication of laboratory results.
• Maintain high standards of quality laboratory practice by use of proper reagents, well calibrated machines, and a clean working environment.
• Preparation of laboratory reports.
• Participation in internal QC programmes and log in the appropriate registers.

Position Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Must have a registration certificate from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board.
• At least two (2) years of appropriate experiences in medical laboratory functions.
• ICT competency.
• Excellent customer service.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Pleasant personality.
