Locum Laboratory Technologist - Coast

AAR Healthcare is one of the largest providers of outpatient healthcare services in East Africa, operating a network of 21 clinics across Kenya and serving over 300,000 clients annually. The organization utilizes experienced medical and management staff, internationally approved disease management protocols, and state-of-the-art information technology systems to ensure consistent treatment across the region.This Locum Laboratory Technologist role is based in the Coast region, reporting to the Health Centre Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for performing laboratory-based scientific medical investigations to provide accurate laboratory diagnoses for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Registration, collection and processing of client samples within the limits of specific tests.
• Communication of laboratory results.
• Maintain high standards of quality laboratory practice by use of proper reagents, well-calibrated machines, and a clean working environment.
• Preparation of laboratory reports.
• Participation in internal QC programmes and logging in the appropriate registers.

Position Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Must have a registration certificate from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board.
• At least two (2) years of appropriate experiences in medical laboratory functions.
