Locum Laboratory Technologist

The Locum Laboratory Technologist role, reporting to the Health Centre Manager, is responsible for performing laboratory-based scientific medical investigations in order to provide accurate laboratory diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities

• Registration, collection, and processing of client samples within the limits of specific tests.
• Communication of laboratory results.
• Maintain high standards of quality laboratory practice by using proper reagents, well-calibrated machines, and maintaining a clean working environment.
• Preparation of laboratory reports.
• Participation in internal QC programmes and log in the appropriate registers.

Position Requirements

Education and Certification:

• A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Must have a registration certificate from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board.

Experience:

• At least two (2) years of appropriate experience in medical laboratory functions.
