Reporting to the Head of Legal & Company Secretary, the Legal Officer plays a vital role in safeguarding the institution’s legal standing and upholding the highest standards of corporate governance. This position is accountable for delivering expert legal advice, drafting precise legal opinions, and ensuring rigorous adherence to regulatory compliance frameworks. Additionally, the role provides seamless administrative and strategic support to the Board and Company Secretariat, facilitating effective board management, governance administration, and high-level stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Laws.
Associate, Fellow, or Member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS) Kenya.
Active Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Membership.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a bank/financial institution in a similar capacity.
