Job Description
Kenyatta University is a multi-campus public university in Kenya seeking to recruit a qualified Lecturer in Special Needs Education with a specialization in Visual Impairment. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality teaching, engage in research, and contribute to the academic and professional development of students in the field of Special Needs Education.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Applicants must have a PhD (Special Needs Education), a Master’s Degree (Special Needs Education), and a Bachelor of Education (Special Needs Education), all in the respective areas of specialization.
Technical Proficiency: For the Visual Impairment area of specialization, applicants must be proficient in Braille.
Teaching Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching experience at a university or institution of higher learning.
Research and Publications: Applicants should have published at least two (2) articles in a peer-reviewed journal.
Terms of Service
A competitive remuneration package, which includes basic salary, house allowance, and medical cover as per the University Scheme, will be provided.
Note: Tutorial Fellows are employed on a one (1) year renewable contract up to a maximum of three (3) years.
