Lecturer, Grade 12 - Department of Rehabilitative Sciences

The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) seeks a highly qualified and experienced individual for the position of Lecturer, Grade 12, within the Department of Rehabilitative Sciences (Reference: REF/ACA/SoM/RS/11/2025). This is a senior academic role focused on teaching, research, and professional guidance in specialized fields such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Medical Social Work, or Biomedical Sciences.

Qualifications and Requirements

All applicants must possess the following essential qualifications:

1. PhD/Doctoral Qualification: An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Medical Social Work/Biomedical Sciences, or in a relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
2. Master's Degree: A Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Public Health/Sociology/Social work, or in a relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
3. Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Medical Social Work/Sociology from a recognized institution.
4. Professional Certification: Must be Registered and Certified with the relevant professional body: the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya, Occupational Therapy Council of Kenya, and/or the Kenya Medical Social Workers Association.

Added Advantage:

• At least three (3) publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Teaching experience in an institution of higher learning.
