Lecturer, Clinical Medicine

Kabarak University is a private Chartered institution of higher learning that provides holistic Christian-based quality education, training, research and outreach activities for the service of God and humanity. The institution is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Lecturer in Clinical Medicine. This role is crucial for contributing to the academic mission of the university, focusing primarily on teaching, research, and student mentorship within the Clinical Medicine department.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and research (four courses per semester).
• Supervision of research projects.
• Mentoring of students and academic advising.
• Setting and marking assignments, tests and examinations.
• Assisting in smooth running of the department.
• Providing leadership to other departmental members.
• Any other duty assigned to you by the Dean of School or University Authority.

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates must meet the following qualifications and demonstrate essential skills:

• PhD in Clinical Medicine or related discipline.
• Masters in Clinical Medicine or related field.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience at university as a tutorial fellow.
• Registered with the national medical or clinical regulatory body.
• Evidence of research and publications in peer-reviewed journals (minimum 24 publication points, of which at least 16 must be from refereed journals).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
