The Lead Analytics Engineer (RevOps & BI) will take charge of the company's data lifecycle, from ownership and modeling to the delivery of high-impact business intelligence assets. This role is pivotal in bridging raw data with actionable insights for Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, ensuring data integrity, and automating reporting workflows to support executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
Data Ownership
Build and maintain canonical tables (single, trusted tables for core concepts like leads, applicants, clients, loans, partners).
Define and enforce data contracts (clear rules: field names/types, valid values, refresh times).
Track lineage by documenting every metric, table, and its specific design.
Build Python scripts via Jupyter/API to overcome Zoho Analytics limitations and push processed data back to the platform.
Propose novel data capture methods and source new data opportunities beyond the current ~12 sources.
Dashboards and Reporting
Ship production-ready BI assets and scheduled reports that stakeholders actively use.
Provide curated self-serve views so non-analysts can filter and pivot data without SQL knowledge.
Design tailored dashboards for department heads and interdepartmental executive audiences.
Ensure all dashboards serve real decision-making needs with a focus on strong usability.
GTM Analytics
Report on funnel and portfolio performance using marketing, operational, and customer data from the CRM and other platforms.
Build channel/campaign views for marketing efforts, tracking metrics like CAC, payback, LTV, and attribution.
Design lift studies (test vs. control) to estimate true incremental impact of various initiatives.
Support market expansion with segment-specific dashboards and insights.
Manage the analytical ticket queue with defined SLAs, task scoping, and clear communication on ETAs.
SQL, Python, and Pipelines
Write and tune SQL queries and develop Python scripts for data processing tasks.
Connect and troubleshoot APIs (including Zoho Analytics), setting alerts and data quality tests.
Utilize dbt-style modeling and CI/CD practices: versioned SQL models, automatic tests, and safe promotion to production.
Progressively eliminate manual data workflows by maintaining an automation inventory.
Data Quality & Validation Program
Implement monthly audit methodologies for CRM loan data (principal, markup, repayment schedules, interest, etc.).
Coordinate with CRM Ops and QA Engineers on validation processes and remediation workflows.
Build automated verification checks for core analytics tables to detect nulls, outliers, or anomalies.
Own the error reporting workflow and alert relevant engineers to integrity issues.
Strategic Growth & Automation
Assess ad-hoc requests for recurring value and convert them into automated reporting.
Maintain an automation improvement roadmap.
Present findings to stakeholders to institutionalize valuable recurring insights.
Requirements
Education: BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field.
Experience: 3+ years in analytics, BI, or analytics engineering, specifically working with GTM-facing teams.
Technical Skills: Advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, optimization) and strong Python (pandas, API connections).
Dashboarding: Proven track record delivering production-ready dashboards; experience with Zoho Analytics is strongly preferred.
Marketing Analytics: Expertise in funnel modeling, attribution, and CAC/LTV analysis.
Data Engineering: Hands-on experience with REST APIs and job orchestration.
Quality Assurance: Experience building data validation and quality assurance programs.
