Laboratory Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Laboratory Standards: Strictly adhere to General Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and safety procedures.
• Project Support: Work on assigned projects both independently and collaboratively within the team.
• Experimental Work: Perform laboratory tasks including sample reception, sample analysis, and interpretation of results.
• Data Management: Compile and record testing data for documentation and official report preparation.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain proficiency in lab protocols and Chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure a safe working environment.
• Equipment Operation: Utilize technical laboratory instruments such as thermocyclers and centrifuges.
• Innovation and Improvement: Contribute to an innovation culture by seeking new solutions and assisting in the validation of test protocols.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of hands-on laboratory experience, specifically in running PCR and ELISA tests.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of microbiology and plant biology principles, and familiarity with common plant pathogens and diseases.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow complex protocols accurately, and effective teamwork skills.
• Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
