Makini Schools is a leader in the Kenyan system of education, drawing on global best practice, with five campuses in Nairobi and Kisumu. We are seeking a dedicated Kiswahili and CRE/Agriculture Teacher to join our High School team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in line with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework, fostering student growth, and maintaining high academic standards.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive lessons in Kiswahili and Christian Religious Education (CRE).
Provide instruction in Agriculture (as an added advantage subject area).
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning.
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
Foster a positive learning environment that inspires, challenges, and motivates students.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's educational environment and team spirit.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
Stay updated on current educational issues and specialist subject trends.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Education degree with a specialization in Kiswahili & CRE from a recognized institution.
Experience: At least five (5) years of demonstrable teaching experience in a recognized school, preferably one delivering Competency-Based Education (CBE).
Registration: Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Subject Expertise: Knowledge of Agriculture is considered a significant advantage.
Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
