Mirema School, a Christian-based primary school offering the 2.6.6.3/8.4.4 curriculum, International British Curriculum, and Special Needs Curriculum, is seeking a qualified Junior School teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Studies and Kiswahili at the Junior School level, contributing to effective teaching and learning in line with approved curricula.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, learner-centered, and well-structured lessons in Social Studies and Kiswahili in line with the approved curriculum.
- Prepare and implement subject-specific schemes of work, lesson plans, and instructional resources to support effective teaching and learning.
- Apply a variety of teaching methodologies and learning resources to address diverse learning styles and academic abilities across Kiswahili and Social Studies.
- Collaborate with fellow subject teachers and the curriculum coordinator to plan, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary projects and assessments.
- Provide clear explanations of concepts, practical activities, and real-life applications in Kiswahili and Social Studies to enhance learner understanding and engagement.
Requirements and Qualifications
Successful candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Secondary Teaching Education, with subject specialization.
- 5 years' relevant experience.
- TSC Registration.
- Valid certificate of good conduct.
