This role involves managing the company's accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of debts, and maintaining accurate financial oversight. A crucial requirement for this position is fluency in Gujarati/Hindu, essential for effective liaison with a significant portion of the clientele.
Key Responsibilities
Account Reconciliation & Oversight
- Perform monthly debtor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Review accounts for payment status, bad debts, and write-offs.
- Ensure accurate and timely client statements.
- Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to resolve complex account issues.
- Monitor credit policy adherence and recommend corrective actions.
Credit Management & Collections
- Drive timely collections and maintain acceptable debtor days.
- Share monthly statements and follow up diligently on overdue accounts.
- Track payment trends and credit limits to reduce financial risks.
- Resolve billing issues and negotiate viable payment plans.
- Advise management on client creditworthiness and necessary policy improvements.
Reporting (Due by the 5th of every month)
- Prepare Daily Revenue/Credit Status Reports.
- Track and report Monthly Collections vs. Targets.
- Conduct Aged Debtors Analysis.
- Perform Rejection Analysis.
Team & Compliance
- Supervise the sales team regarding adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and timelines.
- Identify and escalate all breaches of the company credit policy.
Requirements
Successful candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the specified experience:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (BA/BSc/HND).
- CPA/ACCA certification is a significant added advantage.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in credit control, preferably gained within a healthcare environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing customer accounts.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
