Triple Jump is a socially responsible investment management company with its head office in Amsterdam and regional offices in Georgia, Peru, Mexico, Kenya, and Thailand. As an Investment Analyst, you will be part of the Direct Investments team, working on the full investment cycle of equity and debt-based investments into companies active in the access to energy and climate eco-systems for the fund EEGF and the CEI Africa mandate.
Role Overview
Within a dedicated transaction team, your main focus will be the identification, appraisal, processing and monitoring of investments into companies active across the entire access to energy and climate eco-system in Sub-Saharan Africa and India. Additionally, you will also perform overarching internal team tasks that are related to internal decision making, processes, client relationship management as well as day-to-day operational business activities. The position requires frequent travel to investees and stakeholders located in SSA countries.
Key Responsibilities
Identification, appraisal, processing, and monitoring of investments in companies within the access to energy and climate eco-system.
Perform internal team tasks related to decision-making, internal processes, and client relationship management.
Manage day-to-day operational business activities within the transaction team.
Travel frequently to engage with investees and stakeholders in Sub-Saharan African countries.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience, ideally in Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), business consulting industries or other related experience (including dedicated internships).
Strong understanding of the private capital investment process.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills and financial modelling (required), with exposure to valuation and investment analysis (strongly preferred).
An understanding of sector and business model analysis for investment purposes.
Strong skills in all Microsoft Office applications and digital tools including AI.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of economic and social development challenges in Africa.
Experience with collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams.
Mastery of English in writing and speaking.
Enthusiastic, creative, ambitious, and willing to go the extra mile.
